Timbuktu by L’Artisan Parfumeur is an evocative woody fragrance that blends smoky incense, dry woods, warm spice and earthy vetiver with an unexpected touch of green mango.

Created by master perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour, Timbuktu is inspired by the traditional Wusulan fragrance ritual of Mali, where aromatic roots, flowers, woods and spices are used to scent the skin and hair.

The opening combines green mango with vibrant pink pepper and cardamom, bringing an unusual fresh, spicy quality before the fragrance moves into its smoky heart. Incense, papyrus and the distinctive karo karoundé flower create a dry, aromatic warmth, while vetiver, patchouli, myrrh and benzoin give the base an earthy, resinous depth.
